Our saviour describes loves embodying the following sacred attributes; willing to suffer, is kind, doesn’t envy nor proud, it’s selfless, righteous and rejoices in truth. It bears, believes, and endures all. However, where prophecy, an unchaste mouth or pompous knowledge is, it shall fail.
How easy is it to become bitter to the world after being poisoned by her fruits? Unless we have compassion on our humanity and reflect in humility, we also will fail in love. Only God’s love is perfect and sufficient. We can not point the finger of righteousness at another without God pointing it at ourselves. We must forgive others as God does, by no means a simple linear path, but alas, it is narrow with trials. Embrace the Lord’s hand and forget resting in your own strength.
Love doesn't seek to control or manipulate, for better or for worse. It's just to encourage holiness, the greater good but forcing what's best in the name of it shall backfire. It won't be genuine and their heart will crave whatever less with more intensity. Understand, you can't take the Holy Spirit's job but rather we are to love and inspire holiness... We shall resist bending another to our will or grieve when we fall.
